The Spectrum of Dieselnoi
This portrait series captures Dieselnoi in conversation with his old gym mate Bangklanoi Sor Thanikul, animatedly reliving the old days of fighting under the mob Godfather Klaew Thanikul, at times dramatically acting out mob hits & thinking back on those days when he was the best fighter in Thailand, and arguably the world. The story of Dieselnoi, the greatest fighter of Golden Age, who ran out of opponents and was forced into retirement at 24, is one of denial. As a man, to this day when you meet him, he is effervescent with intensity for life, a passion for all that there is, a glimpse into the kind of fighter he was. This shoot was about 10 minutes of conversation but I hope you can see the full rays of spectrum of the man he is.

Stories have been told about the ambush assassination of Dieselnoi's mafia boss manager, Klaew Sor. Thanikul. Klaew was hit with 60 bullets in his car. Dieselnoi shows that it was not that he died of gunfire, but rather because of the shock of the hail of bullets cause his famous amulet of protection to fall out of his mouth. When the hit men closed in, Klaew put this powerful amulet in his mouth, as a last line of defense.
